Rethinking the Conference Room in a Hybrid World

Triad Partners is a bold, fast-growing membership-based financial firm known for doing things differently. As the company scaled, their Lawrence, Kansas, office space was no longer keeping pace. What started as a straightforward office furniture inquiry quickly evolved into a full-floor transformation, with Circadia leading every step.
What made this project stand out wasn’t just the sleek finishes or thoughtfully designed space. It was trust. Triad empowered Circadia to bring its full suite of services to the table, from commercial office construction and space planning to finish selection, flooring, window shades and signage. The result is a high-functioning headquarters that reflects who Triad is today – and where they’re headed next.
The project brought together a highly collaborative team. Circadia served as the lead on design, flooring, window shades, office furniture and project integration, while Circadia Construction managed commercial office construction. Project Superintendent, Dave Bishop became a reliable partner, working closely with Triad to ensure details were executed with care. For architectural updates, particularly in refreshed areas like the café, training room and restrooms, GastingerWalker& supported finish selections and layout enhancements. The result was a tightly coordinated buildout that balanced brand, function and flexibility, all within the quirks of a historic downtown building.
When Triad reached out to Circadia, they were growing fast. Logan Martinek, operations executive business partner and their project lead, was only the second employee when she joined the team. Four years later, the company was expanding beyond the capacity of its existing office space, which spanned two levels of the historic building.
The second floor had recently been refreshed by an architect after the departure of a previous tenant, but the first floor told a different story. With dated finishes like red-checkered carpet, laminate counters and a worn-down break room, the space didn’t reflect Triad’s energy, aesthetic or aspirations.
What Triad needed was a strategic partner to help them:
And they needed it to feel modern, elevated and anything but corporate.
Triad first connected with Circadia through their website – and never looked back. What appealed to them from the start was Circadia’s “one-stop shop” approach, allowing the management of the entire project through a single, responsive partner.
“It was just really nice to have everyone in sync. Everyone knew what was going on – office furniture, construction, signage, all of it. That made everything easier on my end,” Martinek said.
From the beginning, Circadia’s team leaned in. Vanessa Norton worked closely with Martinek to understand how Triad operates and what kind of environment they wanted to create. Together, they developed a cohesive, repeatable workstation setup that provided privacy without sacrificing openness.
The second floor included:
The first floor, with dated carpet and finishes, was fully reimagined with the help of Circadia’s flooring and construction teams. The scope grew to include:
“I told Vanessa I didn’t want a cubicle farm,” said Martinek. “We’re not that kind of company. We wanted something sleek and branded, and that’s exactly what we got.”
Building Trust, and Handling Curveballs
While the process was largely seamless, it wasn’t without a few surprises. Halfway through the project, a lingering smoke smell from a restaurant fire next door prompted a full six-month remediation delay. The Circadia team paused construction and furniture installation to allow proper mitigation, ensuring the final space would meet Triad’s expectations.
“We didn’t want to bring in all new furniture only to have it smell like smoke. Circadia understood that and handled it with patience and professionalism,” said Martinek.
Once the project resumed, Circadia ramped up quickly, with design, commercial office construction and installation teams keeping things moving. Project Superintendent, Dave Bishop with Circadia Construction became a trusted point of contact, frequently checking in onsite with thoughtful suggestions and flexible adjustments to meet Martinek’s vision.
“Dave was amazing – he followed the plans, of course, but he also wasn’t afraid to say, ‘Hey, I think this might be more what you want.’ And he was always right.”
Today, Triad’s new space feels like a perfect reflection of their brand and culture: bold, modern, high-performing and full of energy.
Highlights include:
The new headquarters is also a standout example of corporate office interior design done right, balancing the need for branded aesthetics with day-to-day functionality.
The team’s feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The space doesn’t just look beautiful, it works. It fosters collaboration, reflects Triad’s growth and creates room for the company to evolve.
“They made everything easy and organized – and were willing to explain anything I didn’t understand. I couldn’t imagine trying to manage this without them.”
—Logan Martinek, Triad Partners
Even more telling: Martinek has already referred Circadia to three other clients.
“Whether you need a full buildout or just a conference room refresh, they’re the kind of partner who makes it easy and fun. I’ve already recommended them to others.”
Integrated from Start to Finish
For Circadia, this project represents the best of what integrated partnerships can look like. It was Norton’s first opportunity to bring every Circadia service to the table – construction, furniture, flooring, window shades, signage and corporate office interior design. And because of Triad’s trust and decisiveness, the team was able to move quickly, creatively and collaboratively.
“They let us do what we do best,” Norton said. “They trusted us with the whole thing, and it turned out beautifully.”
From the first design mockup to the final open house (which Circadia team members attended in celebration), this was a project rooted in trust, communication and shared vision. It’s not just a new HQ; it’s the next chapter in Triad’s story, built on a foundation of strong partnerships and great design.
